Dystopia Meets Utopia
As brand storytellers, we love storyboarding and executing flawless photo shoots that convey a deeper meaning! Our flagship publication, VIE magazine, was a media sponsor for the premier art and culture event South Walton Fashion Week in Northwest Florida during its four-year run. As part of the sponsorship, the winning models and designer of the competitive portion of #SWFW were gifted a feature cover shoot in VIE’s annual Fashion Issue. This cover shoot and the accompanying “Dystopia Meets Utopia” story and video were inspired by the designs of Richelle Valenzuela – Pasaporte Company, taking fashion to another dimension as a mysterious stranger from the future (model Jordan Canamar) stumbles upon a beautiful girl (model Bella DeLéon) in 1950s small-town USA. Their budding romance plays out in the magazine spread and accompanying video with gorgeous photography by renowned pinup creator Carlo Pieroni. We scouted the perfect location at the vintage Smith’s Fillin’ Station in charming Florala, Alabama, and even found the perfect 1955 Chevy Bel Air thanks to Ronnie Kilgore of the Andalusia Classics & Streetrods car club. Hairstyling by Brooke Miller and makeup by Yvette Nation rounded out the fabulous team effort to create this memorable and poignant story.
